Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the FoodQual platform. By accessing or using FoodQual, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Who We Are
FoodQual operates a web-based marketplace connecting smallholder farmers directly with consumers and vendors. FoodQual is a registered company operating in South Africa.

2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or making a purchase, you confirm that you:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Will provide accurate and complete information
- Agree to comply with these Terms

3. The Role of FoodQual
FoodQual facilitates transactions between Farmers and Buyers. FoodQual does not itself grow, harvest, or directly handle produce. Each listing reflects information provided by the relevant Farmer.

4. Account Registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
- FoodQual reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

5. Orders and Payment
- All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR)
- An order is only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed
- Accepted payment methods include card payments, instant EFT, SnapScan, and Zapper

6. Farmer Listings and Produce Quality
- Farmers are responsible for accurately describing their produce
- Buyers may report quality concerns in accordance with our Returns Policy

7. Delivery
Delivery is facilitated through FoodQual's third-party courier partners. See our Delivery Policy for full details.

8. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Circumvent the Platform to avoid FoodQual's fees
- Harass, abuse, or discriminate against any user

9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform is the property of FoodQual or its licensors. You may not copy or use FoodQual's intellectual property without written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability
FoodQual shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
